Sky Defender 2.0

Description:
Project developed for the Mobile Architectures course in the Engineering degree program at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra (ISEC).

About the game:
This game is inspired by the Shoot 'em up genre games such as Space Impact (for Nokia mobile phones). The objective is to complete missions by destroying as many enemy aircraft as possible. The game features 3 missions with distinct scenarios and enemy ships.

Options:
The game allows for gameplay in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Ship movement can be controlled either by touch or using the accelerometer feature. When using the accelerometer, you must define its orientation (vertical or horizontal gameplay). Players have the option to select between Auto-shooting and manual shooting modes. The game supports two languages: Portuguese and English.

Additions:
- Introduced missiles for aircrafts
- Added support aircrafts (EuroTyphoons) in mission 3
- Included life bars for enemies
- Introduced two new enemy types
- Added a new mission with a brief storyline to enhance gameplay experience

Corrections:
- Resolved issue of aircraft accumulation after resuming from pause
- Addressed touchwiz problem on Samsung Galaxy S3
- Adjusted aircraft position to prevent covering by fingers, now slightly ahead of it
- Fixed screen turning off when using accelerometer instead of touch control
- Projectiles fired by an aircraft now won’t disappear when the aircraft is destroyed
- Improved efficiency on smaller devices by adjusting resources based on device resolution
- Tweaked mission endings (victory and defeat scenarios)
- Various menu enhancements and refinements
- Default language is now English
- Disabled Android Button 'menu'
- Language change option removed from the options menu
- Fixed several minor bugs
